The
Concept of the Conference:
This
conference deals with issues and programs related to talented people with
disabilities (twice exceptional). Generally, it is a relatively recent topic in
the fields of scientific research and regulatory and legislative interest
worldwide. Particularly, in the Arab world, this conference will bring this
vital topic in the era of the remarkable technical progress brought about by
the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It positively impacts all patterns of human
life and extended its impact on shaping human life socially, economically, and
cognitively. Yet, the world has lived and is still living a hard time due to
dealings and coexistence with the Covid-19 pandemic. This pandemic has affected
and continues to affect human life in various aspects. However, technology and
the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in specific, have a prominent role in
managing life affairs. Undoubtedly, talented people with disabilities are not
immune from these major changes that the world is experiencing. They can be
major influencers in shaping this technological revolution's future and how to
use it.
In
this conference, we address these topics in an integrated context by highlighting
the efforts of scholars, researchers, and specialists in the field of twice
exceptional. The core objective is to draw a roadmap on how talented people
with disabilities (twice exceptional) can be empowered in the areas of
education, health, work, social interaction, creative productivity, etc.
The
Conference Objectives:
The
conference includes six main objectives, as follows:
1. Discuss
the most prominent scientific methods for detecting people with twice exceptional.
2. Highlighting
global experiences in providing care for people with twice exceptional.
3.
Identifying the most prominent characteristics of people with twice exceptional.
This includes offering beneficial services for them and their families as well.
For example, guidance and counselling services.
4.
Identifying the most prominent recent technologies to serve people with twice exceptional.
5.
Empowering people with twice-exceptional to be involved in the labour market.
